Fiji Adopt a Family Covid-19 - The struggle is real
About the Cause
Bula, Fiji Adopt A Family Covid-19 a charity community initiative that was founded on 18 April 2020 by Selina and two friends. Their criteria is based on the philosophy of “we look after the working man, help him get his job back because when you get the working man back his job he will support the poor and life goes on”. Our focus is only on the people who have lost their job as a result of Covid19. This cause is purely funded by our sponsors “the Adopters”.
We are a private community initiative, and funded by the donations of our adopters. We are not part of an NGO or Government. Adopters choose a family from our list of vetted families, they adopt a family and look after them with basic groceries for a period of 3 months. The groceries are made up of staple food for Fiji families. The best part about our initiative is that our Fiji-based Adopters help to shop, pack and deliver the groceries themselves to the families. If the Adopters reside abroad, the founders do the shopping and deliveries on their behalf. It is truly a humbling experience that some people in Fiji are enduring. Please participate in this cause on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pg/AdoptAFamilyCovid19.
With the help of our major shareholder Mincore and our friends in Australia, we sponsored more than 25 families in Fiji. We are always looking forward to working with interested people who would like to help struggling Fijian families.
